Where cars get locked in l’Alfàs
By the Albir seafront
The pebble beach of l’Albir, about 500 metres long, sits below the Passeig de les Estrelles. A boot closed on the beach bag with the keys inside is easy to do there. What to check while you wait, and more on l’Albir.
At the start of the lighthouse path
The road to the Faro de l’Albir is closed to traffic, so anyone who drives there leaves the car before the path starts, by the information point on Camí Vell del Far. Say that is where you are; the locksmith meets you at the car.
Outside the house
If the house keys are on the same ring and also locked in the car, say so: it is one call, and the front door can be opened the same way, without damage.

Car key work this business does not do
To save you a wasted call, none of the following is offered, at any price: cutting, copying or supplying car keys; programming keys, chips or remote controls; repairing ignitions; keys for motorbikes, scooters or vans. With vehicles, the work is opening a locked door and nothing else. The full list is on the about page.

Does opening it this way mark the paint, the seal or the lock?
No. The tools are made for the job and nothing is forced through the lock or the frame. If the alarm sounds as the door opens without the remote, it stops once the key is back in your hand.
It is a hire car. Do I need to tell the hire company?
Check your rental agreement: some companies include a lockout service of their own. If you ring us, have the agreement or the booking on your phone so we can see the car is in your name.
The keys are lost, not locked inside. Can you make me a new one?
No. Nothing is done with car keys here, of any kind. For a lost key, the dealer for your make or a specialist in car keys is the right call; with the car open, you can at least take out what you need.
Do you open vans and motorhomes too?
Their doors, yes, in the same way as a car, when the keys are locked inside. As with cars, nothing is done with their keys.
