Holiday rental locksmith Alfaz del Pi, for hosts, agencies and their guests
A guest on the doorstep with a key box that will not open, keys gone home in a suitcase, a cleaner who has arrived without the set. One number for owners, agencies and the guests themselves, and an invoice in the right name.

The jobs
What owners and agencies call about
-
A guest shut out
Opened through the latch or the cylinder wherever the door allows, once the owner or the agency has confirmed the booking.
-
A key box that fails
A code that no longer opens it, a lid seized by sun and salt. Opened, then repaired or replaced. A spring check to do before guests arrive.
-
Cylinders between seasons
When keys have gone missing, or nobody knows how many sets are out, the cylinder is changed on a changeover day. How a lock change is done.
-
A cleaner or a repairer locked out
The changeover has a deadline. The agency confirms, the door is opened, and the next guests arrive to a door that locks.
-
The safe in the flat
Guests set codes and forget them. Safes opened and fitted.
-
A guest locked out at night
The line is answered at any hour; the call-out works as on the emergency page.
In order
How a call from a guest is handled
-
The guest or the host rings
With the address, the name of the let if it has one, and what has happened.
-
The host confirms
You or your agency confirm, by phone or WhatsApp, that the person at the door is staying there.
-
The price is agreed
With whoever will pay, before any work starts.
-
The door is opened, and locks again
If a cylinder had to come out, a new one goes in. The invoice goes to the name you gave.
The local picture
Holiday lets in l’Alfàs, in the town hall’s figures
In a memorandum published in June 2026, the town hall reported that registered tourist dwellings in the municipality grew from 441 in 2012 to 1,219 in 2025, and their bed places from 915 to 4,377. More than nine in ten are in the Albir area, about half of those in the streets of the beach strip: Avenida Sant Pere, the Bulevard dels Músics, Camí Vell d’Altea and Avenida Óscar Esplá. If your let is there, the Albir page explains how to tell us where you are.
New compatibility reports for tourist lets were suspended in August 2024 while an ordinance was drafted. The draft prefers whole buildings, asks for the agreement of the owners’ community in shared blocks, and leaves semi-detached houses out. None of that changes how a door is opened, but in a shared block it gives the owners’ community a say in whether a flat is let at all. What the rules say, in more detail.
Agencies with several properties can write through the contact page to agree how invoices and confirmations should work.
Asked before
Asked by hosts and agencies
A guest is outside the flat at midnight and I am in another country. What do I do?
Give the guest this number, or ring it yourself with the address. Before the door is opened, you or your agency confirm by phone or message that the guest is staying there, and the invoice goes to whoever you name.
Who pays when a guest loses the keys: me or the guest?
That is between you and your guest. The price is agreed with whoever is at the door, before any work starts, and payment can be by cash, card or Bizum. Tell us beforehand if the invoice should be in your name or the agency’s.
Should I change the cylinder between seasons?
If keys have gone missing during the season, or you cannot be sure how many copies are out, yes. A new cylinder is a short job, booked for a changeover day.
Can you fit or replace the key box by the door?
Yes, as long as it can be fixed to something solid. A key box that has started to stick or misread its code is better replaced before the season than opened with a pry bar in August.
